Read more about these here.</a></p>\n<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity for an experienced Appeals and Monitoring (aka Representations and Appeals Officer) looking for a new challenge, to work within the Parking Operations team.</p>\n<p>The postholder will be responsible for dealing with Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) correspondence, deciding motorists appeals, dealing with emails, court & bailiff/debt registration work, some telephone calls, refunds, complaints, and the office-based collection of data to assist with contract monitoring.</p>\n<p>This is a hybrid position, meaning if you are successful you will be working from Hounslow House at least once or twice a week, as scheduled by your line manager, to align with the team's in-office days. You will be working remotely the rest of the week.</p>\n<p><strong>About the Team You’ll Be Working In</strong></p>\n<p>Parking Operations has a statutory duty to enforce parking restrictions on the borough’s roads and car parks under legislation set out within the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA), Road Traffic Act 1991 (RTA) and the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA).</p>\n<p>Our aim is to reduce traffic congestion, improve road safety and local air quality; and maintain the provision of parking spaces for permit holders whilst improving accessibility for all road users - especially those with disabilities.</p>\n<p>The Appeals and Monitoring team are a part of Parking Operations. We deal with PCN correspondence at all stages of the life cycle of a PCN, including at Representations, Appeal, Charge Certificate and Debt Registration stages.</p>\n<p><strong>Your key responsibilities will be to:</strong></p>\n<p>1. Investigate PCN Disputes: Review and assess PCN disputes carefully, following the council’s policies and procedures, before issuing a formal decision to the motorist.</p>\n<p>2.Maintain Performance Standards: Ensure that your letters are clear and concise, respond to the motorists’ points, and adhere to the relevant quality, policy, and legal guidelines. The Adolescent service is part of a wider service including the Early help team and Youth Justice Service. <br><br> You will work closely with social care and the service is seen as an integral part of improving outcomes for young people and is widely valued. We believe in caring for our staff, being flexible to their needs, creating reflective spaces and developing our own with excellent opportunities for training. <br> <br> About the Role and Our Ideal Candidate : <br>The Adolescent Team work with young people that are 'edge of care', we aim to support young people and families to overcome barriers and prevent young people from going into care.<ul>\n<li>Workers will support a caseload of young people (aged 11-17) who are potentially at the edge of care and/or at risk of exploitation which is leading them to display risky behaviours.</li>\n<li>You will look to create a plan of interventions to support the child and their families which leads to better outcomes and reduces risks.</li>\n<li>You will need to think holistically about working with children and families with complex needs using restorative approached to support families to stay together. </li>\n<li>Some flexibility is required as visits to families may be required outside of regular office hours and you may be required to work a weekend every 6 weeks. </li>\n</ul><strong>Our Ideal Candidate</strong><ul>\n<li>You will be passionate and experienced in understanding the needs and complexities around vulnerable adolescents. You will ideally have experience of working with caseloads of young people and carrying out assessments, intervention plans and direct work with families. </li>\n<li>You will be able to think creatively around support packages for families meeting their needs and being innovative with your approaches. You will have experience of being part of multi agency meetings and representing your organisation in formal situations being confident with a range of partner agencies. </li>\n<li>You will be able to manage your own time effectively and be able to evidence outcomes, complete tasks within tight deadlines.
