How You’ll Be Involved
Join Camden Libraries as a Community Library Officer, where you will play a vital role in fostering a welcoming and trusted environment for lifelong learning and personal development. Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day operations of the library, ensuring a high-quality service through managing books, online resources, and community activities. You will collaborate with local residents and partners to deliver engaging programs, tackle digital exclusion, social isolation and promote library resources. Your efforts will help bring the community together, create local partnerships, and empower individuals of all ages to explore knowledge, culture, and ideas.

We are looking for a proactive and community-focused individual with experience in library work or a similar setting. You should possess strong customer service and communication skills, alongside a passion for community development and outreach. Your background should include working with diverse groups such as children, families, and BME communities. You'll need to be comfortable with library management systems and have the ability to support users with technology. If you have excellent organisational skills, a collaborative spirit, and a knack for fostering local partnerships, you’ll be an ideal fit for this impactful role.

· Holborn Library 1x 18hour Fixed Term until 31^st December 2025
· Kilburn Library 1x18 hour Permanent
· Queens Cresent Library 1x 25.5 hours Permanent
· Pancras Square Library 1x 24.5hours and 1 x 25 hours permanent
· West Hampstead Library 1x 19 hours permanent
· Locations TBC – 2x 5 hours Weekends, Permanent
