The Role
As an Independent Living Officer you will be responsible for the day to day running of a City Council Independent Living scheme, for this role the scheme in Carnforth- Gummers How is a CAT1 scheme, which includes constitutes of 76 bungalows and flats , communal lounge and gardens.
The post is permanent. The hours of work for this position are 37 per week working Monday to Friday.
The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post.
About You
You must be capable of demonstrating a sincere commitment to the support of older adults, possess good organisational, customer focused and social skills and be of a calm, patient disposition with the ability to respond quickly and efficiently in an emergency situation, whilst under pressure. An understanding of community care and the ability to deal with any situation, as and when it arises, in an efficient and effective way, is essential.
