The opportunity
We’re looking for a committed and motivated person to work in our Support Hub to deliver high quality mental health support to our residents on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.
The Hub will offer a range of services to clients at different stages in the process of change and operationally focus on promoting recovery and providing assessment and support. You are proactive with assessing referrals to the Hub and can provide intensive mental health support. You are eager to develop your knowledge of local resources available to the clients. You can positively create mutually beneficial partnerships with local authorities, other health and advice centres and voluntary and community organisations. What you’ll do
Take the lead
- Supporting the team with complex cases and motivating colleagues by exemplifying good practice in working with clients, other professionals, delivering and monitoring outcomes (both positive and negative) and innovating our practice based on the learning from these.
Give your time
- Assisting in writing and reviewing reports, briefings and presentations
Bring people together
- Working with the Neighbourhood Management Team to provide advice and identify suitable referrals to the service
- Developing and delivering learning surgeries to other staff across the business
- Working, and meeting, with other Teams to find solutions to emergency and/or complex cases
Come forward with a can-do attitude
- Using a flexible approach to meet the needs of urgent cases and hard to reach clients
- Travelling across the Boroughs to assess clients and meet with local agencies
- Assisting with monitoring and reporting of KPIs
Go the extra, extra mile
- Keeping up to date on local health and support services and sharing them across Origin
- Analysing clients’ support needs and maintaining anupdated resource library for the Support Hub
What you’ll need
A motivational approach
Collaboration is highly important; you’ll need to demonstrate your experience of working as part of a team. You’ll need to prioritise assessment and support, travelling across North London and Hertfordshire to deliver key support sessions. You’ll need to undertake any other duties consistent with the objectives of this post as required by the service manager / head of service including
Relationship building skills
We reach out to third parties to help us; you’ll need experience of setting up and maintaining successful partnerships. We learn from feedback; you’ll be seeking views of clients for improvement and development of the service provided.
Proven ability
You’ll need to demonstrate a track record in delivering high quality support with positive outcomes. You’ll have experience of working with adults with mental health and complex needs including supporting tenants to sustain their tenancy following self-neglect, including neglecting the home environment (hoarding). You will have knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures and working with multiple agencies and local authorities to manage safeguarding risk.

We move things forward and get things done; you’ll need experience of developing action
plans and building relationships with local services.
Confident Communication and IT skills
You’ll need to be a confident communicator across all channels including experience of producing written reports and have confidence in using a range of IT packages including CRM systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You’ll maintain up to date comprehensive reports on all clients demonstrating their journey through the Hub and the outcomes achieved.
