In the event of a major incident you would be expected to work flexibly to deliver an effective service
Rushmoor BC, Hart DC and Havant BC have entered into an Emergency Planning (EP) and Business Continuity (BC) resource sharing Partnership which will take effect from 1st April 2025. This new role will allocate time equally between the partner organisations and attend LRF and other multi-agency meetings on their behalf.
Reporting to the Service Manager for Risk, Performance and Procurement at Rushmoor Borough Council as the employing authority, this is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple District areas and develop their arrangements to ensure they remain able to respond to major incidents and the wider impacts of other significant events.
The partnership is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic professional that can offer pragmatic advice, support and training.
The role will be office-based working from the Rushmoor Borough Council office as the main location. However, it expected that the role will be required to attend other EP Partnership office locations within Hart and Havant as required, based on the agreed time allocation to each partner organisation.
In addition, the role will be expected to travel to emergency planning meetings/events at locations across Hampshire where they cannot be attended virtually. The majority of these meetings currently take place in Eastleigh.
The post holder will be able to work flexibly, from home for up to 50% of the time. Their home environment must therefore meet the minimum requirements contained within the DSE policy of Rushmoor Borough Council.
It is expected that the postholder will spend a minimum of 50% of their time on site.
The post holder is not expected to be on call or to routinely work evenings or weekends outside of core office hours. However, in the event of a major incident they would be expected to work flexibly to deliver an effective service. This may require work out of normal office hours, such as to assist in the coordinated response and attend meetings with partner agencies.
Full Driving Licence and own vehicle required – essential user as per Rushmoor Borough Council policy.
