You will work with households to complete an income and expenditure and provide advice and assistance on managing their budget, reducing expenditure and maximising their income.</p>\n<p>You will oversee and manage the Council’s rental income accounts (both current and historic) and work with households to ensure that rental payments are made on time and in full.</p>\n<p>You will support the Council’s Tenancy Officer with duty by arranging, booking and completing the required paperwork for sign-ups into temporary accommodation.</p>\n<p><strong>About you:</strong></p>\n<p>We are looking for a candidate who has experience working with a housing or support setting with vulnerable and/or social excluded households.</p>\n<p>You would be educated to A ‘Level standard or equivalent, at grades A to C, or equivalent grading, or demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable households.</p>\n<p>You would have a good understanding of the welfare benefit system and welfare reform changes.</p>\n<p>You would have excellent communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team and develop supportive relationships with colleagues.</p>\n<p><strong>Benefits</strong></p>\n<p>Additional benefits for this post include 22 days annual leave (increasing to 27 days after 5 years continuous Local Government service), plus an additional day in December.
