Do you have an eye for detail and experience of surveying, do you want to help improve the housing standards across our city and increase our resident satisfaction? Are you passionate about increasing standards in council housing?
If so, we would welcome your application to join the Business and Performance Team as a Surveyor.
You will be part of the Housing Investment & Asset Management Service which delivers a wide range of projects across asset management, sustainability and energy, mechanical & electrical and planned and major capital works for our housing stock of approximately 12,500 properties.
The aim of the service is to focus on improving housing quality and supply, achieving carbon reductions, improving the services and living conditions of our residents and reducing homelessness across the city.

The role of Surveyor will be to:
You will work within the Business & Performance Team team to undertake general property surveys and produce reports in connection with maintenance & improvement work the council undertakes.
You may also be asked to participate in showing resident inspectors completed pieces of work for them to look at in empty homes, new homes and work delivered through our capital programmes.

Please note that while the job is currently hybrid working, there is a possibility that this may change in the future to full time work out of the office. Current working arrangements require you to work from the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
