The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work for the Repairs & Investment section of Landlord Services working in the void / decant section on complex decant cases.
The role will be a six-month fixed term post that will enable the successful candidate to demonstrate excellent customer service and organisational skills, assisting their development for their future career path.
We are looking for an Assistant Repairs Team Leader, who can demonstrate exceptional knowledge or experience of working with complex decant or disrepair cases who can provide evidence they have seen a case through from beginning to its conclusion.
About you
We are looking for a repairs professional with experience in dealing with complex cases such as decants or disrepair. They will assist in the management of our in-house voids team and external contractors to deliver a high-quality void / decant service.
You will oversee the end-to-end process of decant repairs management, monitoring all decants, and taking action to achieve fast re-let times and minimize rent loss.
As a key member of the Void / Decant Service Management Team, you will work closely with colleagues from within the service and other departments to develop our void / decant service and improve performance.
You will have experience managing a team and the ability to manage contractors, analyze performance information, and use external and internal customer insight to identify and deliver improvements.
You should have relevant maintenance related experience and a good knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, basic property surveying technique and SOR codes.
You must be able to drive and will be provided with a vehicle to undertake site visits across the Borough.
