We have a great opportunity that has arisen for a Procurement Officer to join us here at Southern Housing!
This exciting opportunity supports the commissioning purpose of the Procurement function. You will be monitoring and maintaining our Approved Suppliers listing in line with our approved supplier segmentation, retention and approval processes. Reporting directly to the Head of Commissioning, this is a great opportunity to support the business through integration and towards a successful transformation This role supports us through business readiness to meet our new obligations and an active role in driving efficiency through our operation - and third party suppliers.

The Commissioning function serves 5 purposes:
- accommodating the change process for new regulations
- approved supplier management
- supporting distressed or non-performing contracts
- addressing out-of-contract spend
- equipping and supporting our DLO.
What you'll need
- Experience in interpreting financial spend to assess corporate compliance with Policy, process or Regulation. Recommend and implement prioritised plans to fulfil corporate obligation and transparency commitments.
- Understanding of providing support on the procurement of works, services and goods through the quotation process or formal tendering, from planning and sourcing through to negotiation and contract award.
- Experience in creating, maintaining, and managing relationships with key internal stakeholders. Supporting the business compliance with procurement procedures. Identify and recommend improvements to processes to support the business, strengthen controls and assist corporate compliance.
- Knowledge of basic procurement processes and procedures.
- Understanding of supplier standards, company structures and financial performance
- Knowledge of strong IT skills including MS Office applications, Monday.com and eProcurement systems.
