We are looking for a candidate who can support our ambitions to grow and develop philanthropic income across City Parks.</p>\n\n<p>For an informal discussion, please contact Stephen Hyder, City Parks Programme and Strategy Manager by emailing Stephen.Hyder@brighton-hove.gov.uk </p>\n<h2>About the role</h2><p>This role is ideal for highly motivated, hands on, professional project manager with expertise and knowledge in fundraising and sponsorship.</p>\n\n<p>As Donation Schemes Development Officer you will report to the Programme & Strategy Manager for City Parks and will:</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>To research, consult on, and set up philanthropic income streams including a range of supporter’s schemes including an audit of all current internal donor schemes, opportunities for trusts and charitable giving/ individual giving, corporate sponsorship, memorials and legacies, to invest in the natural, built and heritage infrastructure of the city’s open spaces, including parks, countryside, cemeteries, allotments and the seafront.</li>\n\t<li>To work with colleagues to identify a list of appropriate short and longer-term infrastructure projects, with potential for philanthropic financing. Projects may be high profile or politically sensitive.</li>\n\t<li>To scope and develop appropriate donor engagement and stewardship programmes including digital and actual acknowledgements, plaques and communications.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p>You will have:</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Significant project management skills with experience of planning and monitoring large projects and budgets.</li>\n\t<li>Experience of commissioning projects, negotiating and managing contracts.</li>\n\t<li>The ability to give sound, professional advice and work in partnership with a broad range of stakeholders in an inclusive and accessible way.</li>\n\t<li>Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex information into accessible reports for internal and external purposes.</li>\n\t<li>Experience of identifying emerging investment opportunities and preparing successful funding bids.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p> </p>\n\n<p><strong>Key dates:</strong></p>\n\n<p><strong>Closing date:</strong> Sunday 5th January 2025</p>\n\n<p><strong>Interview date:</strong> Week commencing 13th January 2025</p>\n\n<p>Please read our <a href=\"{{SIGN-IN-REQUIRED}}\">Apply for a job at the council</a> pages carefully.
