We are looking for an innovative and creative teacher to join a newly created provision. In this role you would be expected to ensure all students within our care are making progress via robust interventions to close gaps, whilst supporting mainstream learning, providing the best possible educational provision and outcomes.
A number of students who join our school in Year 7 are not yet secondary ready. We are seeking a confident practitioner with experience of both working with primary level students and students with SEN, particularly those with cognition and learning difficulties.
Working alongside the Director of SEND, and SENDCo you will demonstrate a clear understanding of the challenges of delivering consistent, quality learning opportunities to students with higher and complex needs.
The successful candidate will hold QTS and evidence considerable experience in the following:
- Working with children with SEN, particularly cognition and learning needs, and other additional needs.
- Researching, planning, preparing, and delivering outstanding lessons.
- Developing and delivering flexible and purposeful, individualised curriculum, often to a small cohort.
- Robust baseline, assessing and tracking of both traditional and non-traditional curriculum and learning programmes.
- Working with internal colleagues, critical friends, parents, and clinicians as well as the network of external colleagues in Local Authority SEN teams.
- High levels of self-reflection, motivation to improve own practice and a solution focused, positive approach to operational challenges.
- Management and direction of a team of support staff.
We believe in a culture of collaboration, empowerment and ownership so that we consistently deliver the best possible experience for all of our children, families and colleagues. We are committed to being part of a community of learners and recognising how we can work collaboratively to be more effective in managing workload and building professional resilience. In securing a post here, you will join a team of dedicated colleagues who enjoy the reward of working with an outstanding group of learners and colleagues who are there for each other.
