Horns Mill Primary School, Helsby (On-Site)
Permanent, Part time
Salary will be pro rata depending on agreed job share contract
Due to a request from a long-standing teacher to move to a part time role, we are excited to be able to offer an opportunity for someone new to join our team on a permanent basis. There is much flexibility in terms of the new role in terms of the hours and the days that make up the job share. We could offer a 0.4, 0.5 or 0.6 contract to the successful candidate. Days of the week are also flexible. We are looking for someone who will embrace the ‘shared’ nature of the job share, and work highly effectively with the existing, totally committed and valued teacher, with the best interests of our children at the heart of all decisions.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a school with a hugely positive recent OFSTED report, where senior leaders have capacity and are keen to support the new teacher as they begin working at Horn’s Mill. The existing staff of the school are passionate and friendly and will provide a great team around the new member of staff. Our children are amazing, and the whole team works very effectively together with a culture of collaboration, hard work and good fun!
Our motto "Nurture, Inspire, Flourish - An inclusive community of acceptance, adventure, aspiration and achievement" captures the ethos of our school perfectly and we look forward to welcoming a new ‘Miller' to our team to enhance the great work that goes on here every day.
All applications will be considered, including those from ECTs.
We urge you to visit our school so that you can feel the values and ethos as they are embedded throughout. We are offering a walk round on the following date. Please telephone the school office or email admin@hornsmill.cheshire.sch.uk to book a space on one of them.

Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe. Applicants for all posts will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check. Cheshire West and Chester is committed to Equal Opportunities in Employment.
