About the role

Are you passionate about delivering lasting change to a world renowed heritage garden in Brighton & Hove? We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to this exciting new role. You will play an integral role in a wider programme of work to restore and rejuvenate the Royal Pavilion Garden. With multi-million pound investment from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Brighton & Hove City Council, this is a pivotal opportunity to develop a programme of work that will protect the financial investment in this heritage garden and create a safer environment for all to enjoy. In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work as part of the Royal Pavilion Garden project team to collectively restore and improve access to this world renowned heritage garden, removing the garden from the Heritage At Risk Register.
  • Engage with local communities and businesses to understand issues relating to antisocial behaviour and the night-time economy and the impact this can have on the heritage garden.
  • Work with partners and stakeholders to develop and design creative and innovative solutions to ASB and reduce the impact on the garden and improve feelings of public safety.
  • Develop a strategic action plan to address and reduce the impact of ASB and night-time economy on the garden aligned with the project funding terms and conditions.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of successfully developing similar programmes of work with high impact demonstrable outcomes
  • Motivation to improve the safety of a unique heritage asset and reduce the impact of ASB on a vibrant city centre green space
  • Worked and collaborated with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders in an inclusive way to achieve a shared set of objectives
