St Edward’s is a very special place with a distinctive Christian ethos. At the centre of our school is a vision to see all children live ‘Life in all its fullness’ in mind, body, heart and spirit.
Our staff, parents and our governors are very proud of our school with its excellent team of dedicated teachers, support staff and its enthusiastic and caring children. Graded as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted (October 2024) we are proud of our children and how well they achieve.
We are fully committed to Inclusion as a school, with a passion to ensure that those with additional barriers to learning also flourish here. Our high numbers of children with additional needs are supported by committed staff, including a highly effective Inclusion team. We hold ‘Centre of Excellence’ status with the Inclusion Quality Mark and expect all our staff to be committed to working with all our children to ensure they thrive.
We are looking for a permanent Teaching Assistant, to work initially in our Nursery. This role is needed as numbers are growing rapidly, particularly with the addition of more two-year-old children. Our Nursery is led by two teachers and gives our children an excellent start to their formal education.
We would like to appoint someone who:
- is enthusiastic, confident and able to show initiative;
- is an effective communicator with pupils and staff;
- possesses good literacy and numeracy skills;
- is able to deal with a child’s medical, physical, emotional and behavioural needs;
- holds a Level 3 qualification in a childcare related field.
