About the team
Working within Technical Services department of Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service managing a team of hydrant inspectors who will carry out the routine inspections of 20,000 fire hydrants
This team works with Local Planning Authorities and Water undertakers on the need for additional water supplies required during the growth and development of housing, and businesses across Hertfordshire
Working directly with internal departments to develop and streamline workloads, including operational crews, digital services, and transport.

- Manage the provision of an effective hydrant system & computerised water systems
- Manage the Water Budget for the Technical Services & daily activity of the team
- Deal with enquiries from key stakeholders & be the liaison officer for the County
About you
To be considered for this role you will need to meeting the following criteria:
- Knowledge & understanding of Fire Services Act 2004, Water Act, New Roads & Street Works Act & National Water UK Act.
- Excellent communications skills and work on own initiative.
- Work collaboratively and manage staff.
- Good understanding of plans and planning application.
