We are looking for an experienced individual who can work with our stakeholders to ensure that children in Rutland receive the appropriate arrangement for education that they are entitled to.  </strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>About you…</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have a strong understanding of the needs of children with SEND, with a proven track record as a teacher, practitioner or leader in SEND.</li>\n<li>You have a proven track record of influencing change, and delivering on strategic outcomes</li>\n<li>You are a strong team player with the ability to work on your own initiative</li>\n<li>You are a motivated individual who will enjoy working with a passionate and dynamic team</li>\n<li>You are a creative thinker and enjoy solving problems<strong> </strong>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About the role…</strong></p>\n<p><strong>As the EOTAS Coordinator you will:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead on the delivery of the local authority’s responsibilities to provide Education Other than At School under section 19 and section 61 of the Education Act.</li>\n<li>Work with stakeholders to secure a strong process for the Education Other than at School offer in Rutland.</li>\n<li>Work with Case Officers, Educators and Parents/Carers to develop an offer of education that meets the education needs in children’s medical needs and/or EHCP.</li>\n<li>Have an oversight of all children who are receiving their education other an at school, working with case holders to quality assure the package in place.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.</p>\n<p>Please note the post holder will need a driving licence to ensure they can travel around the county.</p>\n<p><strong>The EOTAS Coordinator</strong><strong><em> </em></strong><strong>interviews will be held face to face at the council offices on 21 November 2024.  </strong>Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.</p>\n<p><strong>We will be reviewing applications on a regular basis and inviting those who meet our essential person specification criteria to interview.
