Temporary SEN Teaching Assistant

St Michael’s Easthampstead CE VA Primary School is a friendly school with a strong caring Christian ethos where all staff are committed to ensuring every child achieves to the best of their ability.  We have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to start work in our lovely school as maternity cover from Feb 2025.

The right candidate will:

• Deliver high quality support and interventions for both groups and individuals
• Develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff
• Have an ability to work using their own initiative
• Have a high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults
• Adapt to changing situations and learn new skills
• Be resilient and have good behaviour management
• Be a team player and work closely with other staff members within the school
• Have experience of working with children ideally those with SEN
• Have knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
• Able to deliver prepared lessons to cover staff absence

Working pattern: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 12.20pm but with some flexibility for the right candidate.  This is a fixed term contract until 2^nd November 2025.
