A brand-new opportunity to make a real difference
Are you ready to lead an exciting, newly-formed team designed to rewrite the narrative for children and families? At Halton, we believe that with the right support, children can remain at home safely, even when the challenges seem insurmountable. This is your chance to pioneer an innovative service focused on keeping families together, tackling issues proactively, and building resilience that lasts a lifetime.
As our Edge of Care Team Manager, you won’t just lead a team—you’ll inspire a complete culture shift across the borough. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes the belief that with the right intervention, the impossible becomes possible.
Your Role:
As part of this brand-new team, you will:
Lead with passion: Build and guide a resilient, proactive team of skilled professionals committed to supporting families at the brink of crisis.
Innovate and inspire: Develop cutting-edge approaches to strengthen family bonds, address root causes, and prevent breakdowns.
Collaborate for success: Forge strong partnerships with other agencies and communities, creating a safety net of support for families.
Empower change: Provide reflective supervision and foster an environment where creativity, empathy, and determination thrive.
This isn’t just a managerial role—it’s an opportunity to shape lives, influence the future, and set a new standard for what proactive support can achieve.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone extraordinary:
Relentlessly positive: You believe in the power of families to overcome adversity and thrive.
Proactive and resilient: You thrive in challenging situations, tackling obstacles head-on with a calm and creative approach.
Experienced leader: You’ve managed teams in social care, with a proven ability to inspire and deliver exceptional results.
A visionary collaborator: You think outside the box and work seamlessly with others to create innovative solutions.
We have a stable and experienced Senior Leadership Team, who lead from the front. The Head of Service, Service Manager and Team Manager are well established staff members in Halton, who are supportive and nurturing.
You will receive bespoke support from the Social Work Academy who are integral in supporting this team in our improvement journey, providing advice, guidance and support to colleagues in this service area from your first day.
