Brentwood has a diverse mix of rural and urban environments all set within a borough dominated by high quality countryside in the greenbelt. It is subject to significant growth pressure but maintains a strong historical context. Located adjacent to the M25, it has excellent transport links into London and is located on the Crossrail Queen Elizabeth train line.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Enforcement Officer to join the busy development management team within the Council’s Planning service; working alongside senior enforcement and planning officers you will be visiting, monitoring and reporting on breaches of planning control, from minor infringements to national heritage assets.
The role requires the ability to deal with all types of people in various situations in a polite manner and a timely way. You will need to use your excellent record keeping skills, negotiation and diplomacy skills.
As part of our competitive remuneration package, we offer a pension scheme, generous annual leave, flexitime and remote working.
