For over 20 years, Newham has been providing access to evidence-based parenting programmes, workshops and online support to build parenting capacity in a relational and strengths-based way. As families’ needs continue to evolve and change, we have explored innovative and exciting initiatives that are culturally sensitive and inclusive to nurture.
As we embark on the next phase of our development journey, we are seeking an experienced, dynamic and passionate Parenting and Partnership Lead to join our Family Hubs and Prevention Service. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of a dedicated and skilled parenting workforce, developing and honing the offer to support parents and caregivers at any stage of their parenting journey. You will be adept at fostering local community partnerships and you will lead on the implementation of the Parenting and Healthy Relationships Strategy. Your leadership will directly contribute to the well-being and development of parenting support in Newham.
We are looking for a candidate who has extensive experience of working with parents and families, delivering parenting programmes and managing others. We seek an individual with a strong commitment to delivering excellent services for children and families, and someone who relishes the opportunity to bring out the best in others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of the parenting team and peer parenting delivery model.
- Lead on the Family Hubs parenting support strand and associated budget.
- Oversee parenting programme delivery that addresses the needs of families from diverse backgrounds and communities.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local community organisations, schools, and community groups.
- Coordinate and facilitate events and activities that promote family engagement and support.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on the impact of the parenting offer, making adjustments as needed.
- Implement quality assurance mechanisms, staff training and development opportunities.
