We have an excellent opportunity available for a Prevention Officer to join our proactive Public Health Team at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full-time, permanent basis.
As a Prevention Officer, you will play an integral role in delivering the Wokingham Long Term Health Prevention programmes to those individuals who have been referred on prescription by a Health Professional onto the scheme, both in the practical delivery of physical activity sessions and the required consultations of the referral.
This includes, but not limited to, supporting all other health preventative programmes in the team (e.g. Escape Pain, Falls Prevention, Cardiac Rehab and Active Ageing), deliver physical activity sessions and consultations where necessary and required to do so.
The aim of the service is to develop facilities, policies and strategies relating the Health & Wellbeing and Leisure Strategies, ensuring that they contribute to the Council’s overall Vision and Goals. Delivery of health and wellbeing physical activities within the Borough.
