We have an exciting opportunity available for a Development Officer to join our award-winning Adult Social Care team on a full time, 12-month fixed term contract.
As the Adult Social Care Development Officer, you will play an integral role in leading on the design, build and roll-out of Power BI Dashboards and performance reports across multiple Adult Social Care Teams, providing expert advice, guidance and training to colleagues across the directorate.
This role will own and manage the move towards automation of live reporting from Adult Social Care systems.

Key responsibilities:
- To design and deliver dimensional models (star schema, facts and dimensions) in an established data warehouse to form the basis of Adult Social Care reporting
- To design and deliver a suite of impactful and engaging Power BI reports that meet the requirements of stakeholders
- To implement the required ETL using established infrastructure (Azure Data Factory and SQL)
- To manage the end user training to use dashboards, reports and/or datasets
- To provide consistency across management reporting and processes in place that aligns to the corporate direction and approach.
Candidate requirements:
- Qualifications relevant to the role, experience or applied training that demonstrates a good level of applied knowledge in business analysis, project management or system development
- Excellent IT programming skills using software such as SQL and Power BI (essential) and JavaScript (desirable)
- Ability to simplify complex and technical processes, information and ideas to communicate effectively to a wide range of colleagues and customers
- Experience of delivering projects to achieve strategic goals and service improvements with evidence of success in achieving targets and managing performance.

Whilst this is a fixed term contract appointment, for anyone already employed by Wokingham Borough Council this would be classed as a secondment if successful.
