The team is a busy social work team responsible for supporting adults who live within the borough who have complex and enduring mental health needs.</p>\n<p>Come and join the Mental Health Social Work Team- Runcorn/Widnes and Older Person’s CMHT in Halton. We are a small local authority which does not take long to travel across the borough. Halton is close to motorway networks including the M6, M62, M56 etc. We have a base in Vine Street Resource Centre- Widnes and The Brooker Centre- Runcorn- this offers flexibility to the team. Halton Borough Council also provide a generous car user allowance and a flexible working week. You can receive up to 34 days annual leave per annum (Plus bank holidays) and access to HBC’s lease Car and Bike Schemes, and free parking throughout your places of wor<em>k.</em></p>\n<p><strong><em> </em></strong>The Mental Health social work team works with adults, who meet the criteria in line with the Care Act and require support in relation to their mental health.  We work closely with our Mental Health Trust colleagues to provide a responsive, holistic and recovery focussed response to adults with complex mental health needs.</p>\n<p><strong><em> </em></strong>We are a well-established and stable team with supportive management. The managers in the team are experienced AMHP’s who will offer support and guidance. Our team has a mixture of experienced practitioners all willing to support new members to the team. We are a friendly and welcoming team. We are looking for an experienced social worker who has experience working in mental health in a community setting. Preferably we are looking for qualified Approved Mental Health Professionals- however for the right candidate we are willing to consider those who are passionate about the role and would like to train to be an AMHP in the future.</p>\n<p><strong>Our Story:</strong></p>\n<p>Halton is a vibrant local authority with a rich history and heritage, featuring two iconic bridges that connect communities across the River Mersey. It’s an exciting time to join us as we develop new policies and transform the way people access services.</p>\n<p><strong>We are immensely proud that when asked what’s great about working for Halton, the most popular response from our workforce has been ‘<em>our colleagues’</em>.</strong> </p>\n<p><strong>Your Contributions</strong></p>\n<p>HBC 8, Spinal Points 28-31 (£37,938 - £40,476 per annum) Experienced Social Worker </p>\n<p>HBC 9, Spinal Points 32-35 (£41,511 - £44,711 per annum) Approved Mental Health Professional. AMHP’s will also attract an additional £2000 per annum retainer allowance.</p>\n<p> You must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, and a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional in order to perform the statutory duties of an AMHP for Halton Borough Council. As an Approved Mental Health Professional we also offer an additional £2,000 per year allowance and Essential Car user. The day time AMHP service includes the working hours between 9am- 5pm Monday- Friday.
