Making A Difference as A Senior Communications Officer in the Policy & Transformation Department.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join our fast-paced communications teams. The ideal candidate will bring new experience, skills and ideas into the team.
The salary for this post will be £38,626 - £41,511 per annum. The position is fixed term for a period of two years. Your hours of work will be 37 per week.
We are a small team delivering communications, marketing, PR and engagement for St Helens Council. Size doesn’t limit our ability to make St Helens a better place through great content, understanding our audiences and developing our channels.
This is a new post dedicated to developing and delivering our communication approach within a regeneration and growth environment. As the Senior Regeneration Communications Officer, you will play a key role in enhancing the reputation of the council and the borough; showcasing St Helens as a great place to live, work and invest.
St Helens has a number of large, key, regeneration programmes that will totally transform the borough and offer exciting developments for employment and training opportunities as well as raising aspirations. You will support the effective promotion and successful delivery of the council’s regeneration programmes through first-class integrated communication campaigns. You will deliver communications that ensure residents, stakeholders, staff as well as current or potential investors are effectively communicated to, engaged, and motivated.
You will be innovative, inspirational, and aspirational with a background in media, communications, or marketing. You will have experience of developing media stories, stakeholder engagement, digital communications and marketing as well as having excellent copywriting, editing, campaigning and communication skills.
You will hold a degree or equivalent (preferably in Communications, Journalism, PR or Marketing) and have three or more years’ experience in developing and delivering communication campaigns.
