About the Role
Working within our Revenues Recovery Team, you will undertake the administration for the recovery of Council Tax, initiating recovery action in accordance with legislation and Council policy to support income maximisation. Ensuring the appropriate recovery action is taken against non-payers of Council Tax and to improve collection rates by negotiating payment plans from customers, maintaining accurate records and deciding the appropriate form of recovery action to take.
About the Person
• Experience and detailed understanding of the recovery and enforcement legislation in relation to Council tax
• An approachable attitude with empathy and patience but show initiative and stay calm under pressure
• Good time management and organisational skills to manage your own workload whilst being able to provide support to the wider team
• High-quality Customer Service interaction and demonstrate excellent Customer Service skills
• Excellent IT skills, using a variety of systems, including Microsoft Office applications
• Use of revenues software NEC Solutions desirable but not essential
