Senior Lead Officer – Inward Investment

About the Role

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Senior Lead Officer – Inward Investment to spearhead our Invest Liverpool City Region service.

In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and delivery of strategies to enhance the City Region’s global competitiveness, boost investor confidence, and stimulate sustainable economic growth. Reporting to the Assistant Director – Business Growth, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver inward investment initiatives that align with the Combined Authority’s Corporate Plan, the Mayor’s Manifesto pledges, and our ambitious Economic Opportunities Framework.

 

About the person

You will be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, adept at navigating complex stakeholder environments and delivering results in a fast-paced setting. You will have:

• •‍ Significant experience in inward investment and/or international trade, ideally at a senior or managerial level.
• •‍ A strong understanding of economic development, capital and real estate investment, and cluster-based growth strategies.
• •‍ Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence and negotiate at board or C-suite level.
• •‍ A track record of collaboration across public and private sectors, with demonstrable success in securing funding and delivering high-impact projects.
• •‍ Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, allowing you to represent the City Region with confidence at high-profile events and in the media.
