Do you have experience of planning and delivering effective communications activities? Perhaps you have a flair for creating innovative and engaging content for digital newsletters, websites, print and social media for a wide and diverse audience?
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive candidate with strong communications experience gained across a variety of complex projects to join our busy communications team.
The postholder will provide strategic communications advice, guidance and support to major projects and all service areas across a variety of activities and channels to inform and engage residents across the large, rural Harborough district.
The postholder will be an exceptional communicator who will build excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including all council service areas, the council’s Corporate Management Team and councillors.
The ability to work flexibly across a wide range of subject matter and work under your own initiative, under pressure and to deadlines is essential, as is a sound understanding of working in a political environment.

The successful candidate will take a proactive approach to support the delivery of this vision with the promotion of council services and initiatives in line with the council’s priorities and helping to protect and enhance the reputation of the council.
The council has an agile working policy and the postholder will be able to work from home if they wish, with some time in the office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
