We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join the Waste Services team, providing administrative support to the joint Dover District Council and Folkestone & Hythe District Council team which oversees the provision of Recycling & Waste Collections and Street Cleansing services across the two Districts.
This successful partnership between the two authorities, led by Dover District Council, had been running for 11 years, and a further 8-year contract with a private sector provider commenced in January 2021. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role helping us deliver our goals; making a difference to our community.
You’ll need to have the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively in order to meet deadlines and maintain high quality of services at all times. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships within the team and the wider organisation are essential.
We have a hybrid working approach with an expectation that you will work from the team office at Dover District Council, Whitfield at least three days per week.
