An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Early Help Worker to join our Adolescent Multi-Disciplinary Team.
The purpose of the Adolescent Multi-Disciplinary team is to provide adolescents aged 11-18 with specialist intervention for a period of up to 6 months. You will play a pivotal role in supporting young people at the earliest opportunity with the aim of preventing statutory intervention.
We work with young people who may be experiencing an array of difficulties, examples include criminal or sexual exploitation, mental health difficulties, low level criminality, missing from home, difficulties within school and substance use to name a few.
You will be based in the Adolescent Multi-Disciplinary team which comprises of a Team Leader, 4 Early Help Workers, 2 Youth Mentors and 1 Senior Youth Mentor. You will be working closely with internal and external partners to assess the needs of young people and will be responsible for co-ordinating and/or attending professional meetings. You will complete assessments, as well as create intervention plans that are targeted, young person friendly and place the child at the centre of our support, which will be regularly reviewed with the young person and professional network.
A key part of your role will be to engage young people in direct work utilising a variety of creative tools and techniques, whilst taking into consideration some of the engagement difficulties professionals may encounter when working with adolescents.
There is a requirement to work flexibly (including evenings) to meet the needs of the young people and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
This post is subject to an enhanced children's DBS.
For an informal discussion please contact Lucy Ball, Team Manager on 07814915262 .
