The post holder must have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent certificate in Plastering. The Repairs and Maintenance Department has the responsibility for carrying out responsive and planned maintenance works, and void management works to Lancaster City Council’s housing and non-housing stock. In order to improve service levels, meet performance targets and increase the working base, the section is recruiting a Plaster/Tiler.</p>\n<p>A full current driving licence is also essential. The post holder will be required to work a transient role around the district, as they will have to travel between locations and travel within the Council’s designated area. As a result, you will be required to sign up to the authorised external DVLA driving licence validation organisation that we use to manage and monitor our employees’ driving licence data.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be subject to a basic clearance with the Disclosure & Barring Service.</p>\n<p>This post is permanent, based at White Lund Depot.</p>\n<p>The post hours are 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 4.30pm, and Friday, 8.00am to 3.30pm), however you are required for operational purposes to work 39 hours per week. The Role
