The role
This is a great opportunity for someone who is willing to be accountable for all voids work-related repairs, and compliance requirements around gas, EICR, asbestos, water hygiene, health and safety, EPC's and waste disposal. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for colleagues such as Multi Trade Operatives, Electricians, Waste Disposal Operatives and Contractors with between 5-6 direct reports, and an estimated budget of between £500,000 - £5M. You will provide regional and national performance reporting and ensure all financial and auditable controls are in place. You will also be responsible for the implementation and management of all new processes nationally.
Your contractual office will be Bow River Village, occasionally reporting to our Tramsheds Hub in Croydon where the Operations Manager is based. You'll be working on a patch covering East & North London. A company van will be provided for work purposes, with an option to use your own vehicle while receiving an essential car user allowance.

What you'll have
- Experience of developing service delivery to meet the needs of customers balanced with the achievement of business objectives within a direct labour service.
- Experience of working with operatives, contractors, and responsive maintenance contracts.
- Knowledge of relevant and current, codes of practice, building regulations, health and safety legislation and general building methods, standards, and materials.
- Experience of developing effective policies and practical processes to support and improve service provision and ensure efficient insourcing journey.
- Good knowledge of voids within social housing.
- A full UK driving licence.
