Teaching Assistant (Level B) / MDSA (Level A)

Job introduction

Paid weeks per year: 47.36 (TA); 43.89 (MDSA) inclusive of holiday entitlement

Start date: As soon as possible

Goldstone Primary School is a large, popular primary school in Hove. 

We are seeking Teaching Assistant, to work closely with and support a KS1 child. The successful candidate will be capable of offering high quality input and support in all areas of the curriculum. Experience of working in KS1 would be desirable but not essential.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.45am until 3pm with a half hour lunchtime duty.  This is initially a fixed term contract until the end of the school year although there is the possibility that the role may become permanent.

• Experience of working with children using a trauma-informed approach
• Experience of, and ability to work with children 1-1
• KS1 experience
• Understanding of child development and learning
• Commitment to Inclusion
• Firm, kind and flexible approach
• Ability to work under the general guidance of the Class Teacher.
