We are seeking to appoint a Year 6 teacher for this popular, inclusive, thriving school, which is well regarded by the local community and located on the Woodchurch Estate. It is an exciting opportunity to join our newly-appointed Headteacher in delivering continued school improvement. 

Inclusive and adaptive practice is at the heart of our school; everyone is welcome at Fender. We support the individual learning needs of all our children and are extremely passionate about ensuring our pedagogy and practice is equitable and engaging for all. We are incredibly proud of the children in our school (including around 40%+ with SEND) and the local community that we serve. 

The role will also include a leadership responsibility for mathematics across the upper phase of our school (Years 4-6), working alongside our other Maths Lead to deliver rapid improvements in the subject.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and adapted lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Support students in preparing for their transition to secondary school, including preparing for SATs
Monitor and track pupil progress, providing targeted support and interventions to ensure all students achieve their potential.
Work collaboratively with other teachers, teaching assistants, and parents to support the development of each child.
Lead a core subject.
Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities, school trips, and special events.
