Year 1 Class Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic and outstanding classroom teacher who has high expectations for all pupils and can fit into our team. This is a permanent, full-time position (Early career teachers are very welcome to apply, if successful would be provided with a temporary contract in the first instance, with the view to making it permanent following the completion of the ECT induction period).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and teach well-structured lessons to your assigned class, following the school's plans, curriculum and schemes of work.
• Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of your pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
• Adapt your teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of your pupils.
• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge your pupils.
• Promote good progress and outcomes by your pupils.
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.

Requirements:

• Please see the personal specification for the job requirements.
• Experience in Key Stage 1 would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of the Read Write Inc. phonics scheme would be beneficial.

 

Salary

Paid on the main pay scale M1-M6
