Do you have a caring nature? Do you have experience of working in a driving role and/or with vulnerable young people? We are looking for School Transport drivers to work with students, their caregivers and school staff to ensure students travel to and from school safely.
About you …
- Holder of a current D1 driving licence
- Experience of driving a small commercial vehicle or minibus
- You have experience of working with the public in a caring role
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- You are committed to delivering a high level of customer service to clients and their families
About the Role….
As a driver you will be responsible for the following:
- Taking students to school in a calm safe manner
- Working as a team with a passenger assistant if appropriate
- Complying with all current road traffic legislation
- Have a caring and patient manner
- Working a split day to cover start and finish of school
The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS will be paid for by us.
School Driver interviews will be held on 16/17 January 2025. Exact details to be confirmed. Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.
