You will look to identify, investigate and inspect properties within Medway which are empty and/or harmful to the character of the area. Then liaise with the owners and/or occupiers of the properties to seek voluntary action to upgrade the appearance of the property and/or bring it back into use.<br><br>This is a role that combines excellent communication and negotiation skills with a desire and drive to improve and uplift those areas that require assistance. In some cases you will be required to take formal action when voluntary action is not forthcoming.<br><br>You will work closely with the Principal Planning Officers, the Planning Enforcement Team and the Head of Development Management.
