Because of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken. - Lead oninvestigations and decision-makingin cases of significant harm.
- Drive the rollout of theFamilies First for Children Pathfinder reformsacross educational environments.
- Offer professional educational advice and ensure standards of practice set by the Department for Education are upheld.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Extensive safeguarding expertise, with significant experience working with children and families in education, focusing on wellbeing and child protection.
- Proven ability to makecritical decisionsin complex child protection cases and ensure statutory responsibilities are met.
- Strong leadership skills and a proactive approach tobuilding partnershipswith statutory and voluntary sector agencies.
- Demonstrable ability toaudit and review schools' safeguarding systems, ensuring compliance and resolving issues effectively.
- In-depth knowledge ofmulti-agency safeguarding, including key legislation and guidance such as Keeping Children Safe in Education (2023) , Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023) , andSection 175 of the Education Act (2002).
- The capability to act swiftly under pressure and manage tight deadlines in high-stakes situations.
