You will take a lead role in all tree related matters, including assessing trees for protection, processing applications and appeals, and providing related specialist advice and guidance to planning officers, enforcement teams, the public, and Councillors. You will also provide key input into the landscape led design at Otterpool and increase opportunities for this across the District.</p>\n<p>You will need to have experience of assessing trees for Tree Preservation Orders, a thorough knowledge of tree shrub and hedge maintenance, and a solid understanding of relevant arboricultural legislation. The role operates with a degree of autonomy so you will also be a team player who can operate on their own initiative. The successful candidate will provide a variety of day-to-day administrative functions for Waste Services, and any relevant support to its officers.</p>\n<p>This position offers excellent opportunities for an ambitious individual to develop and demonstrate their experience and to progress their career within this sector, whilst helping us to develop and adapt our services to meet the changing demands that we will face over the coming years. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role helping us deliver our goals; making a difference to our community.</p>\n<p>You’ll need to have the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively in order to meet deadlines and maintain high quality of services at all times.
