The vacancy
Your typical day could start with maintaining the internal and external areas of Peabody estates, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You might clean communal areas, inspect playgrounds, or maintain landscaped spaces, all while keeping an eye out for any unusual occurrences or safety issues.
As an Environmental Caretaker - Mobile, you'll travel between various sites across East London, ensuring all communal areas are maintained to a high standard. Your role will directly contribute to the wellbeing and safety of our communities.
You are practical, proactive, and committed to delivering excellent service. With strong attention to detail and an understanding of health and safety, you'll help keep Peabody estates safe and pleasant for everyone. Flexibility and a positive attitude are key to thriving in this mobile role.

To be a success in this role, you'll need:
- Experience dealing with the public.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- An understanding of the use of chemicals (COSHH).
- The ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
