We are seeking to appoint a high-calibre Head of Social Sciences at The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls to join a talented and supportive Sixth Form team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain some leadership experience and support 4 departments (Sociology, Law, Psychology, Health and Social Care) in our 6th form.
The successful candidate will:
- Have the ability to teach two social sciences subjects one of which is Health and social care.
- Share our commitment to building great learning communities for our students.
- Inspire young women with a passion for Social Sciences.
- Plan creatively for high quality teaching, learning and assessment.
- Deliver highly effective and engaging lessons with the aspiration of raising academic progression of our students.
- Be motivated to challenge, support and develop other colleagues.
- Lead on curriculum development, teaching and learning and raising attainment in Social Sciences
- Work collaboratively across the school
