Fighting for the best possible treatment, services and care for anyone affected by breast cancer.  </p>\n<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>\n<p>The senior marketing manager is a new role within the community and events function at Breast Cancer Now.</p>\n<p>We have ambitious plans for growth across this area of fundraising and believe that this role will be pivotal to the success of this.</p>\n<p>With a team of two including a manager and an officer, this role will support the teams’ delivery of the existing marketing portfolio, including community fundraising activity and a range of third-party events. In addition, this role will also oversee the overarching campaign for the Pink Ribbon Walk series, the charity’s flagship walking product. We have ambitious growth plans for the series in 2025 and will be adding another venue to the portfolio as well as increasing participation at each of our existing venues. This role will also lead on the development and delivery of engaging marketing concepts and campaigns to maximise the potential of new fundraising products.</p>\n<p>Working collaboratively with teams across the charity, this role will further embed community and events fundraising as core function in the fundraising portfolio. As the expert voice of marketing across community and events, the post holder will support their direct line reports as well as a vibrant team spread across four offices and will work with other marketers in the organisation as well as in house teams such as digital and brand.</p>\n<p><strong>About you</strong></p>\n<p>An experienced marketeer, you’ll be an expert in promoting fundraising products with a keen eye for detail and creative flair. Your knowledge of dynamic and ambitious six-figure marketing campaigns will enable you to lead the team to success across a variety of projects. You’ll understand the need to approach campaigns on a national and regional level to ensure they speak and engage relevant audiences.</p>\n<p>You’ll have experience of working with external digital and OOH marketing agencies to deliver effective and engaging campaigns, and you’ll feel confident in ensuring the charity’s best interests are always at the heart of their work. As our fundraising compliance officer, you will play an essential role in ensuring our fundraising and marketing activities meet the highest standards in an ever-changing regulatory landscape, to mitigate potential risks for the charity and to maintain the trust of our supporters.</p>\n<p>The varied role will work collaboratively with fundraising colleagues from across the charity. No day will feel the same, as you provide expert advice and assurance on a diverse range of fundraising products and marketing communications, this includes TV ads, prize competitions, social lotteries, and direct marketing campaigns. The role will work closely with individual giving team and our professional fundraising agencies to assure we are meeting our compliance commitments.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate will also support the compliance team as it continues to develop the culture and maturity in fundraising compliance across the charity, with continuous improvement to our training, resources, process, communication and reporting.  </p>\n<p><strong>About you</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge, analytical skills, interpersonal abilities and a keen eye for detail to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have some prior understanding of charity fundraising and the needs of working in an assurance role, but training can be provided.  Prior knowledge some data protection legislation and fundraising regulations would also be beneficial, such as the data protection act, fundraising code of practice, CAP code, gambling commission code, and HMRC gift aid rules.
