Your responsibilities will include producing thorough reports and recommendations and building high quality cases that may result in prosecution. Therefore, impeccable attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills are crucial to this role. Operating under a trauma-informed framework, our Community Protection team adopts a compassionate approach to enforcement, prioritising individual well-being while addressing persistent anti-social behaviour and crime. Expect to conduct intelligence-led patrols across key borough locations, where physical fitness and readiness for frontline duties are paramount. A full current UK driving licence is essential as this position requires the post holder to drive vehicles as part of their duties. The post holder will be required to undertake a standard DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Scheme) and be successfully accepted in the Sussex Police accreditation scheme. This role involves a level of risk that needs to be managed by formal risk assessments and dynamic risk assessments at all times. The post holder will be required to use a body worn video camera in line with our policies. Lone working is a requirement of the job role. The post holder will be required to work outside in all weather conditions. There are four training days to be attended each year and notice will be given of such days and all staff are required to attend and an alternative day off will be given. Required to wear a corporate uniform. Capable of patrolling on foot on different surfaces.
