About the role:
We now have a permanent vacancy for a Practice Manager in Occupational Therapy Adult Services, and we are now looking for exceptional and committed applicants.
You will need to be a highly motivated, knowledgeable and effective Manager who is forward thinking and committed to delivering strength based practice and supporting others. We will look to you to help us deliver great outcomes for adult social care users, carers, families and the wider community, through excellent social care practice.
You will need experience of a providing professional OT advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies in supporting adults and older people and of being a mentor and/or support to others in their development. You will develop the practice of others through regular reflective supervision for those where there is a direct report and to others in the team/service when and as required. You will also proactively develop your own professional knowledge, skills and expertise.
Aside from Operational Management responsibilities you will also contribute to the Strategic development of the Service. You will have good knowledge and experience of social care assessment practice, moving and handling, practical experience of the provision of community equipment/major adaptations and associated legislation, good practice guidance and management of risk.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and advise to team members on eligibility and intervention/referral outcomes.
Plan, deliver and oversee support or other interventions for a complex caseload.
Monitor and where appropriate review cases.
Provide professional expert advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies in supporting adults and older people.
Liaise internally and externally and work with colleagues from other agencies to ensure adults and older people's interests are supported.
Maintain properly documented case files, records and information.
Prepare standard reports as required.
Mentor and support others in their development including supervisory responsibilities.
Carry out all duties with an awareness and understanding of the Safeguarding requirements within area of responsibility and provide professional support in ensuring the best outcomes for residents with assessed care and support needs
Proactively develop professional knowledge, skills and expertise.
Contribute to the Strategic Development of the Service. /Undertake service planning and service review activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Professional Qualification in Occupational Therapy
Supervisory Experience
Moving and Handling Experience
IT Literate and experience of using client databases and proficient in Word/Outlook/Teams etc.
