About the role
As a Procurement Officer you will be responsible for the end to end process of procuring of goods, works and services across all areas of Runnymede. This role will also include developing sourcing strategies, undertaking spend analysis, sharing best practices around procurement and contract management. As well as assisting the Council to implement the Procurement Act 2023.
Runnymede Borough Council are an ambitious Local Authority with an annual spend in excess of £20million on a wide and diverse range of goods, works and services to support effective delivery of our Corporate Business Plan and statutory and discretionary services. The Council has led significant regeneration and place-shaping in the towns of Addlestone and Egham to provide a mix of residential and commercial capital schemes.
We own and manage a portfolio of Social Housing within the Borough delivering first class landlord services across the wide remit of the Housing department including planned and reactive maintenance, disabled adaptations, environmental services, and estate management.
About you
We’re looking for someone with relevant experience of working as a procurement professional in the public sector.
You should be a confident communicator and able to explain the procurement process to all Service Areas. You will also need to be organised and proactive.
