We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our team to support the development of public spaces including parks, play areas and sports facilities.
The purpose of the role is to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Tower Hamlets and reduce health inequalities by creating places where people can improve their physical and mental health, stay active and connected and enjoy themselves.
The post holder will work as part of a team supporting the programme manager to deliver a pipeline of capital works at exceptional value for money as well as suggesting priorities for investment over the coming years.
This role is to be:
Responsible for the initiation and delivery of a portfolio of regeneration projects, initiatives or schemes from inception to completion within approved parameters ensuring maximum quality and value to the Council, its stakeholders and clients.
Build positive relationships with key stakeholders to achieve the Council objectives for it’s Regeneration Programmes. Working with workstream leads across the Council and external partners to identify and manage project dependencies, risks, issues and actions.
Produce and submit regular progress reports for project and senior management, Regeneration Board and all relevant Council meetings for regeneration initiatives, to demonstrate effective project management and meet the governance requirements.
To ensure effective contact between partners and directorates, dealing with enquiries in a sensitive, efficient and accurate manner in an environment where there are competing demands, using initiative to seek solutions.
Manage consultants and contractors involved in project, initiative and scheme delivery in accordance with LBTH procedures and procurement rules. Monitor their instruction and report regularly on progress. Deal with all aspects relating to quality of work.
The role is a 2 year fixed term contract
