At Dacorum Borough Council we are committed to supporting residents to live stable, secure and financially resilient lives. We are looking for a Welfare Sustainment Lead Officer to lead a team, providing essential support to those who are placed in temporary accommodation, and those who have secured an introductory Tenancy with Dacorum Borough Council to ensure a smooth transition.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a service that makes a real difference and to work with colleagues, partners and local organisations to help residents access welfare benefits, sustain tenancies, prevent homelessness and improve their health and financial wellbeing.
We are looking for a candidate who is motivated, compassionate and driven to help our residents succeed. You will have experience in welfare sustainment or housing support, with strong leadership and organisational skills, experience of managing teams and delivering effective services, and the ability to manage priorities and deliver positive outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in supporting the Service Manager and work with the wider Housing Service teams to ensure close collaboration is maintained with internal teams, external agencies and ensure a person-centred support provision is in place.
Applicants must have a driving licence that is valid in the UK.
A Standard or Enhanced check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.
