We have an exciting opportunity within Luton Council's Parks and Countryside Service to join our new rapid response crew. The rapid response crew will respond to varied maintenance requests across our parks, streets, and wildlife site portfolio to keep our community's green space tidy, well managed and beautiful!
As a member of our Rapid Response Crew you will use a range of horticultural and grounds maintenance tools and machinery. You will undertake a wide range of grounds maintenance tasks in parks, sports fields, housing areas, grass verges and on some of the town's wildlife sites. Work will involve shrub pruning, hedge cutting, some minor tree maintenance tasks such as removing stakes and trimming branches overhanging paths and dealing with litter. This is a role where you will be central to ensuring that the Parks and Countryside Service meets with our customer requirements.

About you
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work as part of a team.
You will have the opportunity to develop on your existing skills by using own initiative when undertaking tasks.
We do ask that you have some experience of this type of work or in a related field. A relevant qualification and a pesticides spraying certificate is desirable.
You will ideally hold a Full valid driving licence to transport employees and equipment.
This is a public facing role so you'll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English
