About the role
We are recruiting a Data & Performance Lead that will play a key leadership role within the Strategy, Policy & Improvement (SPI) service that supports Housing & Regeneration, Resources and Communities Directorates
The successful candidates will be able to:
- Provide strategic leadership to, and operational management of, the data analysis and performance improvement teams in the Directorates, working closely with the Directorate Strategy & Policy Leads and Heads of Service to ensure the effective alignment of functions across the SPI services;
- Play a visible and impactful leadership role outside the organisation and with partners with a shared focus on priority outcomes for communities and residents and continual learning and improvement for the council;
- Provide expert advice to senior officers, members and partners in relation to the client Directorate on data analysis and performance analysis to support continuous improvement and facilitate data enabled decision making at Directorate level.
The role will be responsible for a diverse and varied work programme, but key areas of focus for the role will be:
- Lead on corporate performance reporting across the directorate
- Roll out of Power BI implementation across the directorate
- Oversight of statutory data returns
- Oversight of data improvement/insight projects for a range of services including housing management, housing options, planning and property services
- Development & delivery of a new outcomes focussed performance framework
- Leading data and reporting requirements for new areas of transformation
About you
You have significant technical expertise in the relevant fields as well as demonstrable experience in the utilisation of Power BI.
You have experience of leading change and improvement in the data and performance environment, working under pressure to meet competing priorities.
You have experience in managing and delivering performance improvement programmes in partnership with business stakeholders and external partners.
You have experience in communicating with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify and document business requirements, including the development of business metrics and performance indicators.
