Our Team:
The Specialist Teaching and Advisory Service (STAS) has a team of specialist advisors with experience and qualifications in the areas of Speech, Language and Communication (Including Autism), Complex Physical/Medical Needs and Cognition and Learning. We work in settings across Halton providing outreach support and advice in the form of consortiums, training and modelling and support to staff. We work closely with the Educational Psychology Service and are part of the wider SEND Team.
Hours:
26 hours per week, term-time only.
Your Contributions:
As a Specialist Advisory Teacher for Cognition & Learning, you will deliver training to school settings, advising them on cognition and learning strategies to enable the best outcomes for their pupils. As part of this work, you will complete audits of school resources in order to support learners with cognition and learning needs. You will lead on cognition and learning consortiums, as well as working directly with pupils with cognition and learning needs’, modelling strategies and interventions to school staff.
