The key to success in this role will be your ability to enable and empower your team, drawing on their considerable professional experience and subject matter expertise, while identifying co-dependencies and strategic connections across both the different service areas and the wider organisation.
It’s an important and visible role within the council, valued highly by members, and working with key stakeholders in the local business community. With the Local Plan currently at consultation stage, the Local Transport Plan recently adopted, and a strong pipeline of development, the ability to foster positive relationships and a proactive approach to stakeholder and partner engagement will be vital.
You will already be established in a leadership role, managing one or more of the services within this portfolio.
